Her Story
The Strength She Carried Forward
At 47, my client was living with chronic rheumatoid arthritis. Pain and discomfort were recurring parts of her life, which she regularly managed with prednisone. Her goal was to improve both cardiovascular and muscular endurance while preserving the strength and mobility that supported her independence.
We began training during the first week after her backyard pool was completed. She worked in the water three days a week with remarkable consistency. The water provided support and resistance, allowing her to train with purpose while experiencing less pain and discomfort than she did on land.
The changes became noticeable beyond the pool. Stairs no longer left her out of breath, and grocery shopping became easier to manage. Her consistency in the water was carrying into the ordinary demands of her life.
Later, when she underwent a medical procedure, the strength she had developed became important in a different way. During recovery, she left me a voicemail crediting AquaFit with giving her the strength to get up and walk. Even then, she was already looking forward to returning to the water as soon as she was permitted.
In Her Own Words

Hi, Stuart. It’s Jennifer. It’s 4:45 on Saturday. I just wanted to tell you that because of the strength I have from AquaFit, I am having a really nice recovery.
The first few days, my blood was low and I had to have a transfusion, so I was very sick.
For the first two, three days of my recovery was bad, but once I got up and walking, and the only reason I have any kind of strength is AquaFit, and I just wanted to tell you.
So, you don’t have to call me back. If I’m out of it, because even though it sounds good right now, sometimes I’m out of it.
So, I may answer, I may not, but whatever, and we’ll get in the water as soon as they let me.
All right. Hope all is well with everybody, and tell everybody hello. Bye.
